Foodie Fun

Since my stomach is killing me, I’ve been left no choice but to basically try different foods to see what hurts the least.

So far I’ve discovered that real mashed potatoes,  sweet potatoes, green beans, chicken and MahiMahi  are my friends.

I’ll be upfront and honest.. MahiMahi is SUPER freaking expensive, but it’s not fishy tasting, it’s light, but filling,  and oh so gentle to my belly. For that reason alone, I go to my local Shrimp Dock and have them grill it up for me or I will go to Connors Steakhouse and get it from them because I cant prepare fish(it grosses me out so bad).

Chicken isn’t hard to cook or expensive, so that’s usually not a problem for me to pick up. However, I’m picky and like a good Rotisserie Chicken from Sam’s Club if I don’t feel like cooking. Just some good chicken breast or legs is what I’ll fix on the grill or bake when I cook.

Green beans are hit or miss for a lot of us with tummy troubles, so just dabble around and see how it does you. They do fine for me and I season them up good and throw some Turkey Bacon in the pot with em for that good ol southern hood flavor lol.

But you make em how you like em!

Mashed potatoes are another hit or miss probably. .they just don’t mess my belly up when I make them from scratch. I also use coconut milk instead of regular milk to avoid lactose. Lactose free butter as well. Then season em up with some seasoned salt ..minced onions a oil secret seasoning and badabing badaboom.. Good Mashed potatoes.

Last but not least.. Sweet Potatoes. Everyone does em different and other people may not tolerate them like I do.. But try it out and see! I just wash em off.. Oil em with light olive oil.. Slap em in some foil and let em bake til they’re soft when poked with a fork.  I add butter and light brown sugar to mine ..mmmm!

Yes.. I use paper plates bc I hate washing dishes lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜’

Try these out and let me know what your belly says! Bon appetite!
