What Astral Projection Really Is

Astral projection isn’t a TikTok trend or a late-night thrill. It’s an extraordinary out-of-body experience where your consciousness leaves your physical body and travels through other realms, timelines, and dimensions.

Yes, it’s fascinating. Yes, it’s powerful. And yes, if you don’t know what you’re doing, it can be dangerous.

Movies like Insidious exaggerate it for horror, but they’re not entirely wrong. Leaving your body without spiritual training or protection is like leaving your front door wide open—you don’t know who (or what) might walk in.

My First Experiences

I started astral projecting as a child, without knowing that’s what I was doing. I’d fall asleep and “wake up” somewhere else: wandering through strange realms, seeing lost souls, encountering entities, and sometimes exploring entire worlds.

It wasn’t induced by drugs. It wasn’t imagination. It was raw, unfiltered experience.

Later, God/Source/Universe and my spirit team made it clear: this was a gift, but it required training, boundaries, and discipline. Until I learned, that ability was blocked—thankfully—so I wouldn’t get lost out there.

Why Lucid Dreaming Is the Training Ground

Before you can astral project safely, you need to master lucid dreaming. This is where you learn to:

  • Stay conscious while your body falls asleep.
  • Recognize when you’re dreaming and control your experience.
  • Train your body not to respond to “shutdown tests” like itches, swallows, or random twitches.

Think of it like algebra: you can’t jump straight into complex equations without first learning the basics. Lucid dreaming teaches you to hold awareness while your body rests. Without that foundation, you’re stepping into the astral blind.

The Dangers of Reckless Astral Travel

Here’s where I don’t sugarcoat things. Astral projection without preparation can leave you:

  • Exposed to parasitic entities that attach to your energy field.
  • Vulnerable to psychic interference, where trickster beings lure you in.
  • Disoriented when you return, with pieces of your spirit body left behind.
  • Physically and energetically drained over time, like an energy vampire feeding off you.

Drugs, alcohol, or substances make this 100x worse. When you’re not sober, you’re not in control of either body, physical or astral. That’s when attachments and breakdowns happen.

How to Protect Yourself

If you’re going to explore astral projection, do it right. Here are non-negotiables:

1. Spiritual Hygiene

  • Cleanse your space with Palo Santo daily (windows open).
  • Use tuning forks (4096C) to clear energy.
  • Keep your crystals cleansed nightly in a selenite bowl.

2. Physical Protection

  • Wear black obsidian or tourmaline jewelry.
  • Keep protective stones near your body while traveling.

3. Divine Protection

  • Call on Archangel Michael for a shield of light.
  • State clear intentions: “I only connect with beings of the highest light, love, and truth.”

4. Boundaries

  • Keep your sessions short and intentional.
  • Never astral travel to escape your human life.
  • Anchor back into your body through grounding, journaling, and salt baths.

Final Thoughts

Astral projection is a gift, not a game. With training and protection, it can connect you deeper to Source, your higher self, and your soul’s purpose. But reckless exploration? That’s how people get “got.”

If you’re going to do it, do it right. Protect yourself. Train your body and mind. Respect the realms you’re stepping into.

With great power comes great responsibility, and that couldn’t be truer here.
